According to Channel 9′s NewsOK.com:

“…the [Lexington, Oklahoma] council discussed an ordinance that would ban pit bull terriers from the city’s limits. The council was concerned about the legality of an ordinance that would ban a specific breed and decided to check with other cities and lawmakers.”
