  1. I am a resident of Elgin for 10 yrs. I have 2 beautiful pitbulls. Is the march 10th date open to the public?

  2. Ed: I’m sure Elgin residents greatly appreciate your support. I’m sorry Elgin City Council treated you so shabbily especially after you made the long trip. I think that speaks volumes about you…and them. All us Illinoisans will continue to fight. I’m sure it’s easier knowing they have folks from across the entire country behind them. (And I’m sure folks from outside the country too.)

Tiffanee: According to the Elgin website:

Notice is hereby given that the regular meeting of the Elgin City Council on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m., will be held in the following location:

    Heritage Ballroom
    The Centre of Elgin
    100 Symphony Way
    Elgin, IL

Yes, the March 10 meeting is open to the public, but the public will not be allowed to speak, unless they allow it for some reason. And why would they? They haven’t heard even their own citizens, why would they start listening then?

P.S. The Meeting of the Whole Committee starts at 6 in the same place. Don’t know if they’ll be talking about the BSL proposal then or not. Folks should probably show up just in case.
