Clark County (Las Vegas), Nevada Considers Mandatory Spay/Neuter Ordinance

From Fox 5 News in Las Vegas:

“Clark County [Las Vegas] Animal Control officials want the animal population regulated, and they will be seeking a law to ensure pets are spayed and neutered.

At 6:30 p.m. Thursday, the Clark County Animal Control Advisory Board will hold a meeting at the Desert Breeze Community Center to discuss a mandatory spay and neuter bill.

If approved, all dogs and cats at 4 months old and older in Clark County would have to be fixed.”

Read the ordinance here.

Please contact the Clark County Commission and politely inform them that mandatory spay neuter laws are a failed policy per San Mateo, Los Angeles County, and the City of Los Angeles, and that three months is far too early to have cats/dogs sterilized.

  1. HSUS submitted amicus brief claiming that DNA testing is 99% correct in ID’ing dogs….see bluedogstate and petdefense.wordpress.com, HSUS is not trying to stop the ID of dogs or the vague challenge, they are trying to say use DNA to kill more dogs instead. The DNA testing is not anywhere near 99% nor would it be beyond a reasonable doubt, and it is nothing like determining parentage for custody cases, or parentage in one set of dogs-offspring. Most of the tests are made to ID mixed breed dogs but they are haphazard and do not determine percentages, and are often way off and not seeming to relate to size or breed.

  2. Yes, they tried the DNA testing thing in England first, and were successful, though the results were of course a lie. These DNA tests are nowhere near the level of accuracy to stand up in an honest court of law. People better get wise to the agenda, or we all stand to lose.

  3. A manadatory spay and neuter law is an encroachment on the sanctity of my home and be fought by me to the last full measure as free American! Enough said?
