Australia: Worldwide Support Increases to Save ‘Kerser’ from Senseless Death Because of “Breed”

From the Monash Weekly:

…The campaign to save the dog, known as Kerser, has received international attention due to an online petition which has received more than 23,000 signatures.

Kerser was identified by Monash council officers as a pit bull last December, when he was seized after breaking into a neighbours backyard.

Under Victorian law the dog must be destroyed because it was unregistered and found to be a restricted breed. However the dogs owner, Jade Applebee, believes Kerser is an American Staffordshire terrier.
