From the AKC:
Yesterday, Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy signed House Bill 6311, which will prohibit municipalities from enacting breed-specific dog laws.
The AKC thanks the many Connecticut dog owners who took the time to contact their legislators in support of this issue as well as the efforts of the Connecticut Dog Federation in assuring the success of this bill. Please consider taking a moment to contact the Connecticut General Assembly and Governor Malloy and let them know you appreciate their support of this important law that will protect the rights of responsible dog owners and ensure that dogs are not unfairly targeted based solely on their breed or appearance.
