Two 15-year olds in Maine thought it would be fun if they put a kitten in a microwave and microwave it . . . and then post a video of it on Twitter.   Thankfully the kitten survived, seemingly unharmed, but seriously, what is this world coming to?  

Should these girls be charged as adults with animal cruelty?   I don’t know.   I guess it depends on if they could discern right from wrong, and I have to believe that they knew better than that.   Either way, there is definitely a need for some serious psychotherapy.   Honestly, what would possess youths, particularly girls, to harm a defenseless animal?   Where do they get these ideas from?
